Vaccinations

Point of lay Hybrids are vaccinated/medicated against the following:

• Marrecks
• Salmonella
• EDS (Egg Drop Syndrome)
• IB (Infectious Bronchitis)
• Newcastles disease
• TRT/SHS (Turkey Rhino Tracheitis/Swollen Head Syndrome)
• ILT (Infectious Laryngotracheitis)
• IBD (Infectious Bursal Disease)/Gumboro
• Coccidioses and Worms

All birds receive a 5 in 1 booster injection at 16 weeks (NOBILIS IB MULTI + ND + EDS or equivalent). This is an inactivated combined vaccine for chickens against Infectious Bronchitis (Serotype Massachusetts and D207/ strain D274 and related strains), Newcastle Disease and Egg Drop Syndrome.
This is an expensive vacine which is not always included by some rearers.

It is not usually possible to vaccinate small numbers of birds. Vaccines come in 2000 dose phials and are administered throughout rear.
